Synopsis
老Tom Callahan是俄亥俄州一名经营汽车配件的商人，他的梦想是有朝一日让他的儿子，小Tommy Callahan接受他的生意。可惜Tommy Callahan是一个又懒又蠢的胖子，上了七年大学，最后以惨不忍睹的成绩连滚带爬地获得商科文凭。而Tommy回到家乡不久，父亲就猝然撒手人寰，留下一个虽能干但惹人讨厌的Richard辅助Tommy。Tommy和Richard很快遇到了挑战，他们的对手是老Tom新娶的妻子，美艳的蛇蝎女人Beverly，后者与老Tom结婚完全是为了金钱，而她的情夫Paul就伪装成她的儿子留在身边。两人正等着Tommy把生意搞砸以便顺理成章地接管公司。虽然Tommy依然没有很聪明，但他变得很勤快，他带着Richard两人开始了千里迢迢的销售之旅，希望能拯救父亲的心血……
