Synopsis

威廉赫特(WilliamHurt)大显绅士矜持和中年沧桑的近年佳作。这次赫特饰演胸怀理想的大厨戴夫，在人迹罕见的纽芬兰悬崖上开了家高级法国餐厅，初时自然门可罗雀，好在蛊惑邻居出谋献策，谣传此区出现珍贵海鸟，刹时间观鸟者蜂涌而来，戴夫的餐厅亦成为潮流热点。谁知蛊惑邻居是福星，也是祸星，不但随他来餐厅打工的姨仔（《私人红灯区》的茉莉·柏嘉MollyParker饰）把戴夫推进恋爱迷雾，他秘藏的白色粉末更招来各路英雄对餐厅虎视眈眈......导演史托拉根那逊获誉为加拿大电影的新希望，把一部黑色喜剧拍得风趣脱俗、佳句连篇。三主角一冷一热一娇，化学作用强，演绎男性友谊和忘年奇恋亦是情味浓郁。
