Synopsis
AnEpiscopalBishop,HenryBrougham,hasbeenworkingformonthsontheplansforanelaboratenewcathedralwhichhehopeswillbepaidforprimarilybyawealthy,stubbornwidow.Heislosingsightofhisfamilyandofwhyhebecameachurchmaninthefirstplace.EnterDudley,anangelsenttohelphim.Dudleydoeshelpeveryonehemeets,butnotnecessarilyinthewaytheywouldhavepreferred.WiththeexceptionofHenry,everyoneloveshim,butHenrybeginstobelievethatDudleyistheretoreplacehim,bothatworkandinhisfamily'saffections,asChristmasapproaches.
