Synopsis
抢劫银行后，墨菲冒充追捕者的身份，他是一位著名的美国法警，当他跌跌撞撞地走进一个小镇时，他遇到了当地法官马修。墨菲被迫继续担任新法警；他的旧情人斯卡拉差点无意中揭穿了他的真面目，结果却被迫假装自己是墨菲的妻子。这对“夫妻”得到了一栋房子和体面，而他们之前都没有过这些。他们继续假装，是为了避免伤害一个年轻的孤儿男孩，马修的监护人。斯卡拉对计划抢劫银行的男友的忠诚和对墨菲日益增长的感情让她左右为难。
