Synopsis
电影根据真实故事改编，故事发生在二战期间，泽西群岛位于英吉利海峡，是纳粹德国唯一占领的英国领土。希特勒下令将岛上出生的英国家庭驱逐到德国，同时将欧洲大陆的战俘强制劳役在该岛上。身为岛上居民的路易莎（詹妮·西格罗JennySeagrove饰），在战争期间挽救了一位逃跑的俄国战俘。尽管她知道英国政府不会冒险夺回岛屿，并且岛上的居民们在饥饿和恐惧中变得越来越不安，但路易莎依然没有改变她的初衷，她继续保护这个她所救的俄国男孩，并把他当做自己的亲生儿子看待。
