Synopsis
吉姆·麦考利斯特（马修·布鲁德里克 Matthew Broderick 饰）是卡佛高中的教师，他教学严谨活泼，为人随和友善，曾三次获得优秀教师的称号，为广大学生所喜爱。在他所教授的班级中，有一个名叫翠茜·弗利克（瑞茜·威瑟斯朋 Reese Witherspoon）的女孩 。翠茜高傲自信，力求上进，积极参加校内外的社团活动。她信心满满竞选学生会主席，鲜逢敌手。吉姆出于某些原因不满翠茜的作为，于是也卷入卡佛高中这场激烈的选举大战中来…… 本片荣获1999年美国演员协会最佳喜剧表演奖（Lisa Beach）；2000年弗罗里达影评人协会最佳剧本奖；2000年独立精神奖最佳导演、最佳影片、最佳剧本等三项大奖。
