Synopsis
王玉玲和王玉芳作为新时代青年，响应国家建设边疆的号召，参军入伍来到偏远荒凉的边疆叶城。白天进行生产劳动晚上进行军事训练，手脚磨出血泡仍然坚持劳作。历尽艰辛的王玉芳与青梅竹马的恋人陈德生一同前往昆仑山修公路，最终双双牺牲，妹妹则扎根了边疆。
