Synopsis
参与了戊戌变法的举人易君恕仓惶出逃，束手就擒之际，被英国牧师林若翰搭救，入住香港翰园林若翰家中。林养女倚阑是中国海员遗孤，养育成典型的英国淑女，受到香港绅士迟孟桓的追求。倚阑的傲慢与偏见使易君恕难以存身，他外出谋生遇挚友新安县举人邓伯雄，邓氏反对英夷拓界，决意死战，易、邓志同道合。邓伯雄为联合文氏大族抗英，娶文心瑜为妻。
