Synopsis
1939年，失业的英国青年大卫，如同许多来自世界各地的社会主义青年，一起加入一国际组织游击队，为争取民主自由而投入西班牙内战，对抗佛朗哥的独裁暴政。大卫因负伤来到巴塞隆纳，战时血泊中悲惨呼喊的声音，成了他挥之不去的恶梦呓语。他发现自己摇摆于对社会主义的忠诚与新认识的爱人之间，心中的改革梦想却不因远离战场而稍减，最后选择回到前线战友身旁…… 本片曾获96年坎城影展金棕榈奖提名、法国凯萨奖最佳外语片、欧洲影展最佳影片。
