Synopsis
马修饰演报社的新闻版主编，莱蒙是他手下的王牌记者。这一天莱蒙正要离开芝加哥到纽约去跟他的女友展开新生活，但临时发生了一宗政治丑闻，马修用尽各种方法来挽留莱蒙采访这段新闻。整个情节就在两人的拉扯之间来表现报界中人对突发新闻的停不了的热爱心理，由此延伸了互相勾心斗角、你躲我寻的游戏。
