Synopsis
垣根涼介の同名小説を実写化した本作は、「応仁の乱」前夜の京（みやこ）を舞台にしたアクションエンタテインメント。日本史上初めて武士階級として一揆を起こした蓮田兵衛（はずだひょうえ）と、彼のもとに集結した“無頼”たちが、巨大な権力に対峙して戦いを繰り広げるさまが描かれる。
