Synopsis
本片讲述了一个年轻而有成就的医生，为了在一流的芝加哥医院取得儿科主管的职衔，同意利用夏天的时间，在北卡罗来纳的一个山区小镇成立门诊部。一方面，他和这个小社区的行事方式格格不入，另一方面，和9岁儿子再联系后，他被迫处理最近的丧妻之痛，从而学习到了一种不同的人生步伐。
