Synopsis
员外曹林的妻子死后，他又另娶了赵氏为妻，赵氏带来了自己的儿子苍娃，并且将曹林原配的儿子曹宝山以及他的家人们赶到了下院，过着凄苦的生活。曹宝山想要进京赶考，偷偷向父亲要了十两银子做盘缠，哪知道赵氏知道了此事，硬是将钱抢了回来，无奈之下，曹宝山只得一路卖艺乞讨上京。在路上，曹宝山遇见了苍娃，苍娃非常痛恨母亲的所作所为，不仅将身上的五十两银子给了曹宝山，还偷偷的运动米面油盐给曹宝山的妻儿。苍娃的行动被赵氏发现了，于是她设计下毒想要杀死曹林侵吞家产，并且打算将杀人的罪名推到曹宝山的妻儿身上。
