Synopsis
西路军被数倍于我军的敌人包围，几乎全军覆没。副总指挥王树声从战友的尸体堆中爬起来，向着东方——党中央所在地走去。敌军从缴获的皮包中得知王树声的消息，组织了一支精干的小分队，配备德国警犬追踪搜索。王树声在途中遇到遭土匪抢劫的商人俞学仁叔侄，救下受重伤的宁娃子。俞学仁贪财趁夜盗走王树声的光洋，被搜索队抓获，王树声机智地救下俞学仁，一起奔赴延安。
