Synopsis
怡红院里几棵枯萎的海棠，忽然开出艳丽的花朵。众人纷纷议论。不久，元妃薨逝。宝玉丢玉，痴病复发，贾母决定给他娶亲冲喜。王熙凤想出了明娶黛玉，实娶宝钗的“掉包计”。听说要娶林妹妹，宝玉心病全消。不曾想新娘是宝姐姐，痴病再度发作。此刻，黛玉病卧潇湘，阵阵喜乐传来，黛玉柔肠寸断，香消玉陨。不久，宁、荣二府被锦衣卫查抄，贾母魂归地府，王熙凤也落魂金陵。姐妹们死的死，嫁的嫁，出家的出家。孑然一身的贾宝玉随一僧一道飘然而去。
