Synopsis
日本投降，八路军抢占东北，北城成为后勤基地，梁毅任北城公安大队长。北城日军宪兵大队长野村为了逃避战犯指控，投靠国民党，代号“知更鸟”的日本特务就潜伏北城党政领导机关内。国民党特务头子池明昌利用“知更鸟”提供的情报，炸军列、暗杀北城军分区政委，陷害梁毅。梁毅被怀疑是国民党特务，押送到省委受审。池明昌带领特务途中伏击，杀害了省委敌工部长和全部押送人员，唯独放了梁毅，假借报答救命之恩，陷梁毅与死地。梁毅只有挖出潜伏的内鬼，才能洗清泼在自己身上血污。只身潜回北城，陷入公安大队、国民党特务、日本特务三方追杀。梁毅凭着坚定的信念和过人的胆识，殊死拼杀，奇绝鬼异，几度历经生死，摧毁日本情报网，挖出“知更鸟”。消灭了北城的国民武装，抓捕了池明昌，重新获得党组织信任。
