Synopsis
故事发生在70年代的美国，露丝（鲁妮·玛拉 Rooney Mara 饰）和男友鲍勃（卡西·阿弗莱克 Casey Affleck 饰）之间的感情十分要好，德克萨斯州灿烂的阳光之下，就在两人都以为这样的幸福生活会持续的时候，不幸降临了。 一次意外中，露丝误打误撞射杀了一名警察，面临严峻的审判，为了保护深爱的女人，鲍勃心甘情愿的入狱顶替了露丝的罪行。没多久，露丝就生下了一个可爱漂亮的女婴，这一消息为身陷囹圄的鲍勃带来了新的希望。随着时间的推移，鲍勃对露丝和女儿的思念越来越强烈，终于，一系列的意外让露丝下定了越狱的决心，然而，此时的鲍勃并不知道，铁窗之外的世界中，一切都已经物是人非。
