Synopsis
昌王府老王爷病故了，前来王府吊唁的官员不等奉茶就纷纷告辞而去。老夫人心里明白这是她膝下无儿不能承袭王位的缘故。皇帝允许老夫人为女择婿使昌王后嗣有人。女儿朱玉倩暗喜，偷偷让心上人樊玉庭进府求婚。可是结婚之日却是王连甲冒名为婿，皇上让新婿进京谢恩，王连甲接下圣旨。朱玉倩十分绝望，她碰见樊玉廷，准备连夜进京向皇上说明真相。当樊玉廷闯入大厅，痛斥王连甲骗婚欺君的罪行。老夫人用毒酒害死了樊玉廷，朱玉倩也含恨随之而去。
