Synopsis
1949年开国大典前夕，晋察冀军区抗敌剧社舞美队队长田震英（潘粤明 饰）接到上级命令，为开国大典布置天安门城楼。破旧颓败的旧城楼，散发着臭气的金水河，长满杂草的广场，都必须在十月一号之前改换新颜。此时，离开国大典只有28天的时间，天安门附近一片热火朝天的景象，无数的革命军民都在为开国大典夜以继日的工作，田震英引领舞美队也开始了重新装修布置天安门城楼的准备工作。可是装修才开始就遇到困难，布置城楼的红布居然严重缺货。任务依旧艰巨，时间越来越近，为了开国大典能够顺利进行，为了完成任务见到毛主席，舞美队排除万难，终于圆满完成了天安门城楼的布置任务。
本片系建国60周年献礼影片。
