Synopsis
在并不遥远的未来，人类文明高度发达，外星殖民不再是幻想。然而相对高度发达的科技，娱乐事业却受到前所未有的压制。艺能活动被认为具有蛊惑和腐蚀人心的恶劣影响而遭到当局禁止。好在渴望娱乐的种子仍在发芽，名为AKB0048的偶像团体志愿为所有蓝花星的人民送去快乐和梦想，她们顶住当局的压力举行非法演唱会，并公开招募第77期研究生。受到偶像感召，本宫凪沙（岩田华怜 配音）、园智惠理（渡边麻友 配音）、蓝田织音（仲谷明香 配音）、横沟真琴（三田麻央 配音）等满怀青春梦想的女孩相继报名。
