Synopsis
巴拉特（萨尔曼·汗 Salman Khan 饰）成长在一个幸福的家庭之中，父母恩爱，有两个听话的弟弟和一个可爱的妹妹。身为家中的长子，巴拉特十分早熟，深深知道自己肩上所背负的家庭责任。 印巴分治导致了国家陷入了一片骚乱之中，全家人打算搭乘火车离开这片是非之地。和巴拉特一家人有着相同想法的家庭亦有很多，所有的人都像疯了一样试图爬上驶往自由的车厢。在熙熙攘攘的人群里，父亲为了找落单的妹妹，同巴拉特他们分开了。分别之际，父亲叮嘱巴拉特一定要照顾好母亲和弟弟们，他们终将有一天还会再见。为了信守和父亲的约定，巴拉特几乎放弃了之后人生中的一切机会。
