Synopsis
1943年夏，抗日战争期间，陕北曲子县发生一起凶杀案。司法处经过勘察现场，逮捕了疑犯苏家三兄弟。马锡五认真核查此案。同时，庆阳县出现抢亲事件，张柏儿和封芝琴早已经定亲，封芝琴父亲封彦贵又把封芝琴许配别家。张柏儿和父亲纠集十几个人抢走封芝琴。封彦贵到县里状告张金财、张柏儿等人抢亲。县司法处拘捕了张金财、张柏儿，并以“抢亲罪”，判处张金财、张柏儿六个月有期徒刑，宣布封芝琴和张柏儿的婚姻无效。封芝琴向马锡五状告县司法处拆散她和张柏儿的婚姻。马锡五深入群众，坚持重证据不轻信口供，发现苏大柱杀人定案依据存在诸多疑点。经过多方调查，马锡五找到嫌疑人杜老五的作案工具，将杜老五抓捕归案。1962年4月10日，马锡五同志在京病逝，时任最高人民法院院长谢觉哉对马锡五同志给予了高度评价。马锡五审判方式作为优良的司法传统，深深影响着新中国的法制建设。
