Synopsis
1941年，南侨机工林耀祖在滇缅公路遇到日军轰炸，意外穿越至2025年的现代都市，他因与现代人不同的言行与家国执念引发误会，被女主宋瑶收留，林耀祖口述的南侨机工抗战往事，让众人重新认识陈嘉庚与华侨救国壮举。得知抗战胜利，山河无恙，他百感交集，在宋瑶的陪伴下，他感受现代生活，共赴嘉庚纪念馆。在馆中，他见到当年的绝笔信。与宋瑶，张依依她们分别后，来到了马来西亚槟城，看到了华侨抗战殉职机工纪念碑，追忆牺牲战友，重温华侨赤子之心，这段跨越时空的旅程，让林耀祖完成了历史使命，也让当代青年铭记华侨以生命铸就抗战生命线
