Synopsis
女儿穆小芳（李秀冬 饰）考取江南大学，全家高兴之余却为三千元学费发起了愁。妻子桂香（陆燕芳 饰）直骂丈夫穆阿满（严顺开 饰）是又穷又硬的“木乡长”。陈老板（马小宁 饰）为建瓷厂带美燕（刘芳 饰）到乡长家施“美人计”，无果后又将三千元红包藏在点心包奉上。阿满不知就里，顺手把点心包给了开杂货店的水根（喻国煌 饰），而水根取出红包后又把点心卖给了刘二立（牛犇 饰），陈老板有口难言。桂香以离婚要挟不肯把钱退回，阿满无奈，夜里悄悄将钱取出，恰逢疤子（姚二嘎 饰）来偷钱，阿满将其抓获，又让疤子将自家彩电“偷”出卖掉，用来支付女儿的学费。而陈老板的红包则让他宣布捐给希望工程，陈老板闻言，心生一计......
