电影《毛驴上树》通过讲述第一书记驻村扶贫故事，展现了在我国经济社会健康发展和社会主义新农村建设的突破。 《毛驴上树》主要讲述了第一书记林大为两年任期内，经历的一系列冲突、矛盾和碰撞，用真诚、智慧、担当带领贫困山村党员群众同力同心、强村富民的感人故事。为了真实塑造立体质朴、有血有肉的人物形象，影片剧本由山影策划人昃文江编剧专门驻村体验，精心打造，以众多第一书记真实案例为原型，并五易其稿，苦心打磨，力求以影视视角生动再现在脱贫攻坚战中一个个不为人知的驻村故事。
