Synopsis
白人女教師艾美居住在充斥著犯罪案件的社區，非法槍枝大量在市面上流通，警方緩慢的破案速度也讓居民人心惶惶。多數黑人居住的貝克斯村被視為極具危險之地，前科犯德克斯特歷經黑暗的過往後，決定洗心革面，挺身而出整頓社區的治安；儘管家人始終灌輸著「白人至上」的理念，艾美仍不顧父母反對，自願為社區奉獻自身力量。膚色和地位皆截然不同的兩人，是否能攜手為社區帶來光明的希望？
