Synopsis
家住巴尔的摩的胖女孩翠茜怀揣明星梦想，一心想要名扬四海，但却因为外貌因素频频受挫。时间适逢上世纪60年代，美国黑人运动如火如荼地开展着，电视秀也遭受波及。翠茜能否在新旧两股势力的博弈中之中找到属于自己的位置并实现自己的梦想呢。本剧由1988年原版音乐剧改编而成，明星阵容空前华丽，除了主演MaddieBaillio外，还有迪士尼频道与尼克儿童频道的老熟人ArianaGrande和DoveCameron，更有艾美奖获奖者KristinChenoweth（《后裔》、《美国众神》）、奥斯卡最佳女配JenniferHudson（《追梦女郎》《欢乐好声音》）与帅哥DerekHough（《与星共舞》）等人倾力加盟，为观众奉上一场视觉与听觉上的双料盛宴。
