Synopsis
1950年，农机厂工人冯志清为赶制抗美援朝的物资，在一次爆炸事故中，为抢救同志双目受伤。在党的关怀和同志们的激励下，以极大的毅力战胜视力减退的疾病，重新回到机器旁工作，在爱情问题上，他曾一度不愿连累未婚妻李素芳，在李素芳和厂领导的帮助下，他解除了思想负担，与李素芳结成了美满姻缘，为生产抗美援朝急需的物资努力工作。他大胆地进行技术革新，终于获得成功。
