Synopsis
故事发生在美国的一处移民社区中，萨拉菲娜（安娜·玛格纳妮 Anna Magnani 饰）和丈夫罗萨里奥（Larry Chance 饰）过着平静的生活，厄运降临了，一场车祸夺取了罗萨里奥的生命，留下萨拉菲娜和女儿罗莎（玛丽莎·佩雯 Marisa Pavan 饰）相依为命。悲痛的萨拉菲娜失去了理智，她的行为举止日渐怪异，和女儿之间的关系也越来越紧张。
