Synopsis
美国南北战争时期，JakeRoedel（托比·马奎尔TobeyMaguire饰）是南方一个德国人的儿子，和他支持北方的父亲不同，他支持的是南方。他和好友JackBullChiles（斯基特·乌尔里奇SkeetUlrich饰）一起加入了南方的游击部队。他们又结识了GeorgeClyde和George的之前的黑奴DanielHolt（杰弗里·怀特JeffreyWright饰）。四人都在JohnBlack的部队下效力。驻扎在山上的时候，村里的寡妇SueLeeShelley（珠儿JewelKilcher饰）和JackBull相爱了，在后来的战争中，Jack战死，而Jake则与部队里的一个叫Pitt（乔纳森·莱斯·梅耶斯JonathanRhysMeyers饰）的人产生了矛盾，Pitt更是开枪打伤了Jake和Ho...
