Synopsis
杰拉德（杰拉尔·德帕迪约 Gérard Depardieu 饰）和艾利（伊莎贝尔·于佩尔 Isabelle Huppert 饰）是一对结婚多年的夫妻，两人共同养育着儿子，一家人生活在宁静和稳定之中。然而，某一日，厄运从天而降，两人的儿子在一场意外之中死去，他们唯一的精神支柱断裂了。 一晃眼六个多月过去，杰拉德和艾利仍然没有走出丧子的悲痛之中，就在此时，两人意外的收到了一封神秘的信件，寄信人竟然是已经死去的儿子。在心中，儿子邀请父母前往一个名叫“死亡谷”的地方，在那里，会有什么等待着两人呢？杰拉德和艾利踏上了前往死亡谷的旅途，一路上，他们要面对的是各自内心的黑暗面，以及隐藏在这封信件背后的真相。
